The 115th edition of the Chicago Auto Show concluded on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, after a successful 10-day run at McCormick Place that saw a dramatic increase in overall attendance compared to the previous year. The only major auto show not to miss a beat as a result of the pandemic, the Chicago show grew back to its traditional two-hall footprint in 2023 and welcomed more than 300,000 total attendees — 100,000 more than the previous year.

The association’s website, www.CATA.info is CATA’s membership resource portal. It is intended to be an information clearinghouse exclusively for new-car dealerships. With the simple click of a mouse, www.CATA.info provides the necessary information, forms, and tools to make your dealership operations more efficient. CATA members have exclusive access to all of the resources and information available on the site.

Charities and civic organizations know that Chicagoland new-car dealers are an integral part of their communities and are often deeply involved in charitable causes.

For more than 20 years, DriveChicago.com has provided new- and used-car traffic to CATA member dealers at no charge. The mission of DriveChicago.com is simple: “Cultivate new- and used-vehicle shoppers, guide them through the selection prices and pass them to CATA member dealers.” In carrying out its mission, DriveChicago.com has become a well-known and trusted resource in Chicagoland that helps consumers locate vehicles at new-car dealerships.

The CATA headquarters building, dedicated in 1997, has grown to become the focal point of meetings and training for the association’s 600-plus members. Line associations, area dealer associations, manufacturers, our allied members and zone personnel find the facility’s six main conference areas to be meeting-friendly and the building location easily accessible from anywhere in the greater Chicago area.

The CATA has strong and longstanding relationships in both local and state governmental bodies. However, to continue this effort, we must work together on an annual basis to maintain, strengthen and expand those relationships in legislative and regulatory affairs. One of the main reasons for the strong relationships is the great support CATPAC/NADA PAC has been able to provide our legislative team. To that end, it is of vital importance that we maintain that support in the upcoming years.
